In the midst of copious song debuting, Gospel music artist Kobby Mantey is set to make first appearances of two songs come the 17th of May, 2016. Being passionate about delivering excellence in production together with touching messages, Kobby said he has waited for almost four years to outdoor these songs when God gave them to him.

The songs titled JESUS and HALLELUYA is being released on the same day and happens to be the first of its kind in the Gospel music industry in Ghana. A double release seems almost impossible in our system considering the manner our industry is shaped here in Ghana. This is what Kobby has to say about the double release and also what influenced writing of the songs:

I believe God is leading me to do this, it is the usual in Ghana to release a single but I know God wants me to do something different in the Gospel industry in Ghana And I am convinced that God has a purpose for these two songs considering the Genres and the way there have been produced……..

It is a worship song inspired by the Holy Spirit one morning while I was having my quiet time. The song dropped in my spirit while I was reading Revelation chapter 4 where John on the desert saw a vision of Jesus in Heaven, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to the verse 8 where it says “ Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty who was, and is, and is to come.” Immediately in that moment I started singing in my local language ( Kronkron kronkron ni yen Awurade, Kronkron kronkron ni wo asofo yehowa Halleluya halleluya osoro abofo to hwum se kronkron)

One afternoon I was thinking about the name Jesus and the power He carries, so I decided to write a song that will focus on the man Jesus: my focus in writing this song is to introduce Christ to the young men and women who don’t know Him and also to some of us Christians who are yet to experience Christ and the power in His name. Philippians 2:10-11 says “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”. This song is a fusion of Pop, Hip-hop and a bit of Rock; my target is the youth and anyone who loves these genre of music

Kobby said by the grace of God he was blessed to have worked with some awesome musicians on his project. These people include: Charley Keyz, Martinson Gyimah, Alfred Wiafe, Prince Hakeem, Evans Kornor, Lord Listowell, Naa Kwaley, Eunice Raguel, Esther Goodwyll, Emmanuel Bludo, Enoch Owuraku.

Niiella,Eunice Coffie and Kingzkid. The two songs were mixed and mastered by Shadrack Yawson (SHA) of WAVEBOX Studios. His project is managed by MAKARIOS MUSIC a new Record label in Ghana.

7 Things You have to know About Your Husband.

Here are seven things wives need to know—but may not know—about their husband:

His ego is more fragile than you imagined. I know, you’re probably tired of hearing about the male ego. I get it. But it hasn’t gone away, and, frankly, the world isn’t too kind on our ego. We see the jokes on every sitcom and commercial about how inadequate we are at times. But there’s not a man with a soul that’s alive that doesn’t want to be admired by the woman in his life. Not one.

He is very visual. Very. More than you are probably thinking. You see his eyes roam. That’s a natural reaction for him. He doesn’t have to work on it. Now he has responsibility over his eyes—not the girl who attracted them—but if there’s a pretty girl around, he probably saw her long before you did. And he likely battles staring more than you will ever understand.

He doesn’t want you to be his mother. You can say “Ouch!” if you need to, but men want a wife, not a mom. I hear this from men frequently—especially young men. If you’re a mom, they want you to be a great mom—just not theirs. I know we need mothering sometimes. All of us do. We may even act like big babies at times. But mothering a husband never works. Ever. Be our partner. Our best friend. Not our mother.

When you correct him, you hurt him. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t need correcting. He might. But the way you do this is huge. Your respect for him is huge for him. His greatest emotional need. That could be in how he fixes the bed—or the fact that he doesn’t—or for things far worse. If he senses you are talking down to him—not respecting him—he may comply with your wishes in actions (or not), but inside his heart will be growing colder toward you. Always correct in love!!!

He loves you uniquely. He probably won’t love you all the ways you expect him to love. And, frankly, he won’t be all the love you need him to be. He may not always feel love as an emotion as strongly as you do. Your heart is capable of much more than he can fill completely. There will be times—hopefully even seasons—when he does, but no man will meet every need of your heart. (Other than the man Jesus.)

What he does really is who he is many times. It’s his identity. If it’s golf, his career, fishing, antique cars or his extensive comic book collection—that’s a part of him. When you miss that or don’t value it, he may feel like less of a man.

He probably thinks you’re more wonderful than you think he does. He probably thinks higher of you than you do. How you look. What you’re able to do. He wonders how you keep up with everyone and everything as you do. He may even envy that about you. And he has a strong desire to protect you because of his view of you. He respects you—probably more than he knows how to communicate to you.

Guys, anything you would add?

KOBBY MANTEY – Gospel Music’s Kept Secret

Kobby Mantey is one of Ghana’s best gospel music secrets. A singer, songwriter, composer and producer, Kobby is a little over thirty-year-old. He is passionate about delivering the excellence in production together with touching messages. Remember him for his rendition of the “BIGGER” song which he wrote his own verses to. The song went viral after he performed it at Joe Mettle’s LOVE GIFT concert. His humility and respect for the things of God speak volume of him from afar. After the release of the “BIGGER” single, Kobby moved on to live and minister in South Africa for a while where he took time to nurture his gospel music career. Moving back into Ghana as directed by God, he still remains a great treasure yet to be discovered by many.

Born Samuel Kwabena Mantey, Kobby Mantey as he is mostly called is a Contemporary Christian and gospel artist who first was driven to express himself through music as a youngster when he was discovered by his Sunday school teacher in his early years at church. He then went on developing the music gift the Lord has blessed him with through various means such as listening to songs and practicing on his own and with his local church’s choir. He was highly focused, mentally disciplined and was consistent with his ways to mastery. Kobby has over the years contributed to the development of contemporary gospel music in Ghana. He was highly instrumental in the formation of Ghana’s sensational gospel music group; E’mpraise Inc which he still plays a major role.

After his debut single- ” BIGGER”, Kobby has to his credit two more hit tunes namely “THE CALL” and “MY HEART” respectively. Out of our heavenly commission to preach the gospel, he coined “THE CALL”, a song which has been a major evangelism tool amongst communities. Testimonies from the impact of this song have been phenomenal. Lives has been touched, souls have been won for the kingdom of God and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit embedded in the song. “MY HEART”, an afro beat gospel song which he featured Nigerian gospel artist, Minister Igwe has also been on radio rotation for a very long time and still remains one of the most trending afro beat gospel in the country. This song contains praise lyrics expressing gratitude and joy unto the Almighty God for His kindness, love, mercy and grace over his life.

Kobby has worked with so many gospel artists in and around Ghana. Some of this artists include; Joe mettle, No-Tribe, Eugene Zuta, Danny Nettey, Cindy Thompson, and Patheka Booi of South Africa. He has also performed on the same stage with award winning American Gospel artist Fred Hammond.

Kharis Group to host Spiritpreneurship 2016

The largest gathering of Ghana’s Christian Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders has been scheduled for Saturday April 2, 2016 at the World Trade Centre Accra.  Time is 8:30am.

The event dubbed, Spiritpreneurship Summit will provide leading entrepreneurs and business leaders the rare opportunity to network and learn emerging business opportunities as well as how to position their brands to maximize these opportunities. Previous editions of the Spiritpreneurship have been held with phenomenal success, attracting overflowing numbers of business executives and entrepreneurs who went home with life-transforming experiences. This year’s edition promises a greater experience according to the event organizers, Kharis Group LLC.

Themed, “Divine Strategies for Wealth Creation”, the 2016 edition will examine some of the time-tested Biblical strategies for creating wealth. “Spiritpreneurship embodies synthesizing spirituality with the art of creating wealth. If you are Christian, every aspect of your life including your business should be rendered as worship to God”, says Dr. Randy Osae Bediako, summit host.  “Today, it is very disheartening that billions of dollars are currently in the hands of godless entrepreneurs, business leaders and other corrupt organizations whose hidden agenda is to shut down the preaching of the Gospel. That is why God is anointing men and women to go into business, plunder the wealth of the sinners and use the spoils for the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Business and entrepreneurship can be an effective vehicle not only to meet our own needs and that of shareholders but also as a means of underwriting world evangelization”, he emphasizes. The event organizers believe that in these last days, God is raising a new breed of entrepreneurs and corporate executives and empowering them to create substantial wealth. This new breed of business people see wealth, not as an end to be sought after, but as a tool to do the work of God and promote kingdom agenda in the marketplace.

The event targets CEO’s and high-ranking government executives, civil society leaders, top-level strategists and groundbreaking entrepreneurs. Board Chairmen, Management Consultants, Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Strategy Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Finance Managers just to name a few, have all made Spiritpreneurship their must-attend event. Yesterday I had one of those days when I had to fight off the demons and I want to share with you how I dealt with it. When under attack your mind is bombarded with thoughts. These thoughts stir up emotions and these emotions loop back and feed the thought process. It’s a vicious descending spiral.

It’s bad enough if you are alone but if someone else is involved – watch out! If it’s a demonic thing the others will get hooked into the attack feed into the process with the demons talking to them.

The wrong word, look, gesture can trigger a new level of conflict. We’ve all been there. It’s almost impossible to be passionate and rational at the same time.

You can derail the attack once you catch that it’s a demon at work. I can’t explain why but the moment I am aware that it’s a demon at work my focus shifts from the person or issue to the demon – and all I want to do is crush that spirit like a bug! I want to punish it.

Your “early warning detection” is ALWAYS the same. Here it is: “be suspicious of STRIFE!” Strife is the devils gateway into an church, organization, marriage or family. With strife comes “fault finding” and “anger.”

To break off the spirit you need to change the conversation in your head- ON PURPOSE. Stop focusing on what isn’t working- instead focus intentionally on what is working. Think about what is good about the person you’re upset with. If it’s a partner or employee you are struggling with remember that they chose you as someone they wanted to be connected to. They believed in you. They wanted to work in your business or be in your ministry. They didn’t start off negative. How much of the problem can you own and take responsibility for?

This is especially true if you are the head of your house or business. You are the gardener of your own field be it financial, physical, work or family. What does this problem tell you about your skills as a gardener? The goal is to focus on what God has done that is good. Focus on what is good about that person. Take humble inventory about how you can improve on your end. From this vantage point bind the demon of strife and speak peace or good will to the others involved.

This is so important I need to repeat it. Begin to thank God for what He has done and how He has helped you. Be an advocate and not an accuser of those around you. Pray and speak FOR the other people – not against.

Watch the atmosphere change!

-Nick Solomon

Hello everyone looking forward to the continuation of my last week’s article on “HOW TO FINANCE YOUR MINISTRY”. By the grace of God, I’ve been able to put down something to satisfy and educate you on this issue that is hindering the progress of ministry. May you be blessed as you read

The principle of provision in ministry transcends that of finance. This principle governs the way ministers, musicians and all others are recruited for the work, finances are raised for the ministry, and even the way messages are received on the pulpit. By provision, we mean every form of provision: spiritual, ministerial, human and material resources.

There are few convictions that must underlie our beliefs and govern our actions in the matter of funding for ministry. These are what I prefer to call ” Anchors of our Provision”. Each person God has called to the ministry must have an anchor in Christ Jesus that stabilizes his or her heart. These anchors are convictions. When the convictions are not deep in the heart, you drift. Every drifting is what brings poverty and lack. These anchors are applicable to everything. They are the biblical basis behind all the support for the ministry and for our personal lives. There’s no one whose heart stays permanently with God that He disappoints. It is when the heart drifts from God that we lose our balance and focus. These anchors must fix your heart if you want to serve God, have enough provision and maintain integrity as far as resources for life and ministry is concerned. These anchors are found in these simple passages which men of old have held so dear to their hearts and it formed the basis of their trust in God for all their needs in life and ministry. Let us take a little time to study these passages and as you even continue to read, I pray that the holy spirit Himself will reveal the deep truth behind them.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.  John 3:27King James Version (KJV)

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent me. John 6:37-38King James Version (KJV)

44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’[a] Therefore everyone who has heard and learned[b]from the Father comes to Me. John 6:44-45New King James Version (NKJV)

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:16-17New King James Version (NKJV)

Every servant of God must come to terms with these convictions which Jesus Himself lived by. It was the secret behind John the Baptist and all the Apostles as they walked and worked with God. Unless you know this, you will find yourself engaged with all manner of human wisdom, gimmicks and devices to raise fund for your life and ministry. These are the anchors which must settle your heart even as you seek resources for all you have been called to do in God’s vineyard.

In John 3:27, there is an underlying principle which John the Baptist discovered and he was successful in ministry. “Every means each and every gift without exception. If we combine the two scriptures above, we will discover a principle that should guide our work and our attitude towards funding. “…A man can receive nothing unless it is given to him from heaven.” If you see anybody receiving anything, including audience, it means people have been given to him from above. This is because every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. The source of everything we can have here on earth is located in heaven. If anything is good and is going to be perfect it must come from above and not from abroad. By implication, whatever a man has is only what has been given to him from heaven. Any gift that is received from anywhere apart from heaven cannot last and it will need earthly support to sustain it. You will require human hands to keep it running and you may have to compete with others to keep having it.

I will like to end here as instructed by God. Please meditate on this article inspired by God as you look forward to the part 3 of this article next week Tuesday. My prayer for you reading this now is that, may the Lord himself reveal the mystery behind this article and cause your heart to be fixed in its deep truth. AMEN!!!
